Michael Yon's latest dispatch from the war in Afghanistan reports on an "angel flight" he made with U.S. Air Force personnel aboard an air evacuation C-17 with wounded troops in the war in Afghanistan. The photo above was picked up by Fox News a week or two ago showing an Air Force nurse whispering to a wounded Canadian soldier.
The medical staff never stopped working. I didn’t even get a chance to talk with Major Lucy Lehker because she was so focused on the Canadian soldier, who was the only truly critical patient. When the Canadian soldier began to wake up, Lucy caressed his head, and whispered to him where he was, how he got there, who she is, and what his injuries were.Yon calls this dispatch "Whispers."
